    Voucher Qualifications
    Please review the qualification below to confirm you qualify for a travel voucher:
    • Registered for a personal campus visit or a fall/spring open house
    • Traveling more than 300 miles from home address one way to main campus
    • Be a sophomore, junior or senior in high school or homeschool equivalent
    Voucher Details
    Please review the voucher details below:
    • Following the approved campus visit, Waynesburg University will reimburse up to $200 of travel costs based on receipts or mileage provided (meals will not be considered). Once you receive the reimbursement check, it must be cashed within 90 days of the date on the check. 
    • Vouchers are not a guarantee of admission to Waynesburg
    • Vouchers may only be used once - no additional vouchers will be offered on return trips
    Travel Voucher Procedures
    Hotel Receipts
    Hotel receipts must include the name and location of the hotel; the dates you stayed at the hotel; and separate amounts for lodging, meals, telephone calls, and other expenses. Only the lodging amount will be considered for the travel voucher.
    Travel Cost Tracking
    Travel costs documentation should include the cost of each separate expense for gas, tolls, airfare and lodging; the dates you left and returned for the trip, the name of the city, town, or other designation and the mileage incurred while traveling. Gasoline receipts should include the location and date. Google maps should be used to document mileage requests. NOTE: The mileage reimbursement rate for the 2023-2024 year is $0.655 per mile.
    This information is required not only as University policy, but also by the Internal Revenue Service. Therefore, we are unable to provide reimbursement without it.
